Purpose of this survey

The purpose of this survey is to collect information on international trade in selected services and royalties. This information is used in compiling Balance of Payments and 'Good and Services' statistics, which are a record of New Zealand’s international economic transactions.

This is a mandatory request under Section 23 of the Data and Statistics Act 2022.

We have high standards for keeping your information private, secure, and confidential. The information we collect is primarily used by Stats NZ and authorised researchers to produce statistics and research to benefit New Zealand.
